O’so Brewing Wins Medal at the Great American Beer Festival®
GABF Gold medal is among the most coveted in the brewing world
Plover, Wisconsin • September 28, 2015— O’so Brewing Company claimed a gold medal at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition.
Presented by the Brewers Association, GABF is the largest national beer competition that recognizes the most outstanding beers produced in the United States. The top three winners in the competition’s 92 beer categories were announced September 26 at the Great American Beer Festival awards ceremony held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.
We were recognized in the American-Style Wheat Beer with Yeast beer-style category for our Big O, a light refreshing wheat beer that has become popular among craft beer drinkers that enjoy other similar cloudy light beers.
The 2015 GABF competition winners were selected by an international panel of 242 expert judges from the record number of 6,647 entries, plus 91 Pro-Am entries, received from 1,552 U.S. breweries.
Our first GABF Gold medalist, don’t worry bud, you won’t be lonely long!
First GABF Gold Medal, but not the Last!
After almost 8 years of freestyle brewing and several strange brews later, this is refreshing validation. We make some “out there” beers sometimes, but we also have our core line of beers which contains a good variety and are all very tasty if I dare say myself. We know we are good at what we do, because we work very hard to be that good, but a gold medal sure does feel good! There were 8 medals received by Wisconsin breweries this year at GABF, but only one Gold. Check out all of the winners from this year’s GABF here. We are proud to say, our beer is delicious!
